ADVISORY FROM THE KCDC RE: COVID-19 INFECTION CLUSTER IN CLUBS IN ITAEWON

By: Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, Seoul

The Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 infection, requests those who visited any of the following establishments in ITAEWON: KING CLUB; TRUNK; QUEEN; SOHO; HIM and other similar entertainment establishments (pubs, bars, etc.) from 24 April to 06 May 2020 to refrain from going out and having close contacts with other people for 14 days and visit their local health center to be tested for COVID-19.

In this regard, the Philippine Embassy urges all Filipinos who visited any of the entertainment establishments in Itaewon on the aforementioned period to follow the KCDC's advisory and have themselves tested for COVID-19. The tests are free of charge and even those without proper stay permits will be tested and treated. The Korean Government does not require medical institutions to report the identity of illegal residents who visit them to be tested for COVID-19. For inquiries, please call the KCDC at 1339.

The Philippine Embassy is ready to assist any Filipino in distress through our Assistance to Nationals (ATN) hotline at 010-9263-8119. END
