ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR VISA APPLICATION OF FOREIGN SPOUSES, CHILDREN, AND PARENTS OF FILIPINO NATONALS

By: Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, Seoul

Effective immediately, and consistent with the rationale of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) resolution, the following foreign nationals may only enter the PH for the purpose of family reunification:

1. Foreign spouses of Philippine nationals;
2. Foreign minor children and foreign children with special needs, regardless of age, of Filipino nationals; and
3. Foreign parents of minor Filipino children and of Filipino children with special needs, regardless of age.

In this regard, those applying for a temporary visitors' visa must present documents proving that the Filipino national is currently in the PH or will be traveling together with the foreign nationals. These include documents such as, but not limited to the following: airline tickets, immigration arrival stamps, certifications issued by the municipality/ city where they reside, enrollment records, among others.

In addition to the aforementioned, applicants must also submit the following documentary requirements:

• Original PSA marriage certificate (for foreign spouse of Filipino national) or original PSA birth certificate (for foreign parent of minor Filipino child), as the case may be;
• Apostilled Korean family registry, if the PSA marriage certificate or birth certificate is unavailable;
• Invitation letter from Filipino spouse or Filipino parent of the minor child, as the case may be, including copy of PH passport;
• Duly accomplished application form with ID picture;
• Copy of passport of the applicant;
• Bank certificate
• Employment certificate (if self-employed, copy of the business registration);
• Guarantee letter; and
• Confirmed roundtrip flight ticket

Foreign nationals who wish to enter the Philippines may apply for the appropriate Philippine visa from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, except public holidays. Personal appearance is required. For inquiries, please send an email to visa@philembassy-seoul.com.

Please be reminded of the following: (1) the aforementioned foreign nationals still need to present the pertinent supporting documents to the Immigration Bureau upon arrival in the Philippines; and (2) a visa does not guarantee entry into the Philippines.

Thank you.
