PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN SOUTH KOREA CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN GIMHAE

GIMHAE, 24-25 August 2018 - The Philippine Embassy in South Korea conducted a two-day Consular Outreach Mission on 24-25 August 2018 at the Gimhae Foreign Center Apostolic Migrant Center in Gimhae City, South Gyeongsang Province in coordination with the Filipino Association in Gimhae Korea (FASIGKO), led by its president, Ms. Sylvia Park.

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Lyza Maria S. Viejo led the six-member consular outreach team in bringing various services to the Filipino Community in Gimhae, including passport applications and renewals, civil registrations, NBI clearance applications, notarial services, and citizenship reacquisition, among others. The consular team processed a total of 332 consular services during the two-day period, serving more than 300 Filipinos.

Representatives from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and PAG-IBIG also joined the outreach mission. Ms. Lovellie Amores from POLO and Ms. Marivic Digma from OWWA assisted Filipino workers on processing their Overseas Employment Certificates (OEC) and addressed labor-related concerns. Mr. Dominic Leoligao provided information on PAG-IBIG programs and services to the Filipino Community.
