SEOUL, 8 July 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez met representatives of a Korean National Assembly inter-party legislators’ group friendly to the Philippines, led by Rep. Choi Gyu-sung of the New Politics Alliance for Democracy (NPAD), in central Seoul on Tuesday, 8 July 2014.

Philippine-born Jasmine Bacurnay-Lee, the first and only naturalized Korean national elected to the National Assembly, and Consul General and First Secretary Iric C. Arribas joined them at the Woosan traditional Korean restaurant on 8 July 2014.
“Your group is instrumental in furthering the interests of the Philippines and Korea,” said Ambassador Hernandez, referring to the Korean-Philippine Parliamentary Friendship Association, which is headed by Rep. Choi from North Jeolla Province. “I look forward to a more vibrant engagement from your expanded membership.”

They were joined by another association member, Philippine-born Rep. Jasmine Bacurnay-Lee (Saenuri Party), the first and only naturalized Korean national elected to the National Assembly, and Consul General and First Secretary Iric C. Arribas at the Woosan traditional Korean restaurant.
