BEWARE OF ONLINE JOB RECRUITMENT SCAM

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul is once again reminding the general public to be wary of online job recruitment being offered through unsolicited email and various social media.

The Embassy recently received reports of an employment offer allegedly from a reputable Korean company with a one-year contract for an Online Language Teacher position. The job offer, the position and company representative are found to be non-existent after verification with the company.

We encourage the public to be very vigilant about online job offers and immediately report any suspicious activities/online recruitment scams to POEA Anti-Illegal Recruitment Branch Operations and Surveillance Division at osd@poea.gov.ph or the Philippine Overseas Labor Office at labor@philembassy-seoul.com or telephone no. (82-2) 3685-3634.

Thank you. END
