JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: LOCAL HIRE-DRIVER


The Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Korea, formerly POLO, is now accepting applicants for the position of Local Hire-Driver.

Following are the primary duties and responsibilities as well as qualifications required for the position:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Renders transport services to authorized passengers, as directed by the Labor Attache;
- Ensures proper maintenance of the official vehicles
- Assists in the preparation of documents on vehicle registration, insurance, and travel itinerary, and reportorial requirements to local authorities, as needed;
- Performs protocol duties for official guests and visitors;
- Assists in frontline services and
- Performs other administrative duties as may be assigned by the Labor Attache.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Open to Filipino residents in Korea and Korean nationals;
- Preferably between 25-45 years old;
- With appropriate residence and working visa, preferably F-6 for Filipino applicants;
- With valid Korean driver's license, and knowledgeable in basic car troubleshooting
- Experienced in driving in Seoul and surrounding areas
- Can communicate in both English and Korean language
- With positive work ethics and no police record

Application Requirements:
- Cover letter addressed to Labor Attache Ma. Celeste M. Valderrama
- Curriculum Vitae with photo, and at least two (2) references
- Copy of Driver's License
- Copy of ID (eg, ARC if Filipino, or national ID if Korean)

Applications should be emailed at labor@philembassy-seoul.com with the subject, LH-Driver, or dropped-in (Sunday-Thursday, 10AM-4PM) at 17 Hoenamu-ro, 42-Gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Deadline for submission of application is on 15 October 2023. Interview will be conducted thereafter.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:
