Philippine Embassy invites all Filipino-Korean Elementary School Students to Join the “This is My Favorite Place in ASEAN” Drawing Contest


The Embassy of the Philippines invites all Filipino-Korea elementary school students to join “This is My Favorite Place in ASEAN” drawing contest organized by the ASEAN-Korea Centre.

The contest aims to gather artworks that illustrate cultural heritage sites and/or landscapes of ASEAN countries that creatively portray life and culture. (ASEAN countries are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam). The contest is open to all elementary school students in Korea. Drawing entries must be 349mm x 272 mm either in watercolour, pastel, oil paint or any other drawing media (except for computer software). Contest Mechanics: Contestants must fill out an entry form (downloadable from www.aseankorea.org) and send it to the ASEAN-Korea Centre with artwork. Each applicant is allowed to submit only one artwork. Submission Period: 1-23 December 2011 Submission Method: All entries must be mailed to the following address: ASEAN-Korea Centre 100-750, 8th floor Press Center Building Taepyeongno 1ga, Jung-gu, Seoul Announcement of Winners is on 30 December 2011. Special Vocal Workshop with the Nightingales, 22 June 2025 at the 2F Sentro Rizal, Philippine Embassy in Seoul

As part of the activities for Philippine Independence Month, the Philippine Embassy in Seoul in cooperation with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) invites interested individuals to a Special Vocal Workshop to be conducted by the renowned performing duo “The Nightingales” from the Philippines. The Nightingales are composed of Ms. Bernadette Mamauag and Ms. Katrina Marie Saga, who are members of the Philippine Madrigal Singers Company of Artists. The Nightingales have performed extensively in the Philippines and many other parts of the world with a varied repertoire ranging from classical, sacred, Filipino, contemporary and pop, and world music. The duo will be sharing vocal and performance techniques at this activity, further expanding the mission of the Philippine Madrigal Singers of a "Singing Philippines". See you there!
