SEOUL CITY GOVERNMENT OPENS JOB POSITION FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS


Per request of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines is pleased to inform the public that the Seoul Metropolitan Government is recruiting, for the first time, a foreign resident to hold for 2 years a public official position (Local Government Administrative Officer - 5th Grade) at the Seoul Global Center. Contract may be renewed for up to five (5) years depending on job performance.

As the Leader of the Global Center Operation Team, the qualified and chosen applicant is expected to work for the Multiculturalism Division of the Center's Women and Family Policy Affairs Office. Qualifications include the following: 1. A former foreigner who has now obtained Korean citizenship OR a foreigner who has lived in Korea for more than five (5) consecutive years. For those without Korean citizenship, they must be holders of F-2 or F-5 or E-7 visa; 2. Fluent in the Korean language; 3.1. Holder of an undergraduate degree obtained either from Korea or another country AND has at least five (5) years of staff-level experience in one of the following fields: media and promotion, public agency, private organization, university, research institute, corporation and social organization or community; OR 3.2. At least a six-grade public official AND has at least 2 years of staff-level experiences in one of the following fields: media and promotion, public agency, private organization, university, research institute, corporation and social organization or community Preference may be given to applicants with excellent ability to speak both the Korean and English languages and excellent understanding of the Korean culture and multiculturalism and who can show ability to establish a network among international residents and can communicate to them. Special Vocal Workshop with the Nightingales, 22 June 2025 at the 2F Sentro Rizal, Philippine Embassy in Seoul

As part of the activities for Philippine Independence Month, the Philippine Embassy in Seoul in cooperation with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) invites interested individuals to a Special Vocal Workshop to be conducted by the renowned performing duo “The Nightingales” from the Philippines. The Nightingales are composed of Ms. Bernadette Mamauag and Ms. Katrina Marie Saga, who are members of the Philippine Madrigal Singers Company of Artists. The Nightingales have performed extensively in the Philippines and many other parts of the world with a varied repertoire ranging from classical, sacred, Filipino, contemporary and pop, and world music. The duo will be sharing vocal and performance techniques at this activity, further expanding the mission of the Philippine Madrigal Singers of a "Singing Philippines". See you there!
