TEACHING ENGLISH SKILLS ENHANCEMENT AND TRAINING SEMINAR BY THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to inform the public that it will be conducting a Teaching English Skills Enhancement and Training Seminar for Filipino teachers in South Korea on 18 March 2018.

The one-day seminar will introduce elements of the English language, teaching fundamentals, and culture-based approach to Filipino teachers who teach Korean students at language academies. The participants of this seminar will undergo effective language and teaching training through workshops and feedback sessions. At the end of the workshops, the participants will be able to conceptualize and deliver meaningful language teaching that affects Korean students' learning, motivation, and confidence.

TESOL experts will be conducting the seminar to ensure that participants will be given quality instruction using effective methodologies.

For those who wish to sign up for the seminar, kindly submit a letter of intent addressed to Ambassador Raul S. Hernandez, as well as a copy of your Curriculum Vitae, to the Philippine Embassy on or before Sunday, 25 February 2018, to the following email address: seoul.pe@dfa.gov.ph.

Please be advised that due to the limited capacity of the venue, and to ensure a more effective teaching methodology, the seminar will only accommodate a limited number of participants. Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

Special Vocal Workshop with the Nightingales, 22 June 2025 at the 2F Sentro Rizal, Philippine Embassy in Seoul

As part of the activities for Philippine Independence Month, the Philippine Embassy in Seoul in cooperation with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) invites interested individuals to a Special Vocal Workshop to be conducted by the renowned performing duo “The Nightingales” from the Philippines. The Nightingales are composed of Ms. Bernadette Mamauag and Ms. Katrina Marie Saga, who are members of the Philippine Madrigal Singers Company of Artists. The Nightingales have performed extensively in the Philippines and many other parts of the world with a varied repertoire ranging from classical, sacred, Filipino, contemporary and pop, and world music. The duo will be sharing vocal and performance techniques at this activity, further expanding the mission of the Philippine Madrigal Singers of a "Singing Philippines". See you there!
