EMBASSY OF THE PHILIPPINES ORGANIZES TRAINING MODULES FOR PERSONNEL

07 May 2026, Seoul. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul continues to support organizational development and institution building by providing trainings to equip its personnel with updated knowledge on laws in the Philippines as well as trainings on health and wellness.

On 15 April 2026, Dean Jacqueline O. Lopez-Kaw of the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law delivered a lecture on Philippine anti-sexual harassment laws and its application in the workplace. 

Dean Lopez-Kaw highlighted key legislations, including the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act, the Safe Spaces Act, and provided examples of court decisions on cases filed in the Philippines.

On 22 April 2026, Father Jason Antiquera, SMCC, facilitated a prayerful and reflective art workshop designed specifically for Embassy personnel to create a quiet and personal space for inner healing as a form of relaxation and stress relief.  The afternoon session also provided an opportunity for thanksgiving and self-reflection and improvements of actions towards the self, workmates and the community being served here in the Republic of Korea. -END

PH, ROK REAFFIRM STRONG COOPERATION UNDER STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

1 July 2026, Seoul - Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez met with ROK Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for Southeast Asian Affairs Lee Donggy on 19 June 2026 to discuss ways to further advance the Philippines-ROK Strategic Partnership. The meeting reaffirmed the active and wide-ranging cooperation between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea across political, economic, development, security, and people-to-people fields. Both sides also exchanged views on ASEAN-ROK cooperation, particularly in light of the Philippines’ role as ASEAN Chair in 2026, and underscored the importance of sustained engagement in advancing shared regional priorities. They were joined by ROK MOFA Desk Officer Park Youngchan and Second Secretary and Consul Reisha Olavario, Head of the Political Section of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul. END
