LANDBANK OFFICIAL CALLS ON PH AMBASSADOR


Landbank Overseas Representative Officer Oliver F. Bautista (2nd from R) called on Ambassador-designate Bernadette Therese Fernandez (C) on 15 October 2025 at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul. Ambassador-designate Fernandez was joined by Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Mendoza (1st from L), MWO Labor Attaché Rosemarie Duquez (2nd from R) and OWWA Welfare Officer Nelia Chanco.

15 October 2025 - Overseas Representative Officer Oliver F. Bautista of the Overseas Filipino Services Department of Landbank paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador-designate Bernadette Therese Fernandez on 15 October 2025.  Mr. Bautista discussed the current financial services offered by Landbank that Overseas Filipinos (OFs) in the Republic of Korea can avail of, including the GoBayani digital savings account, which the bank launched in 2024 and provides OFs access to the bank’s digital banking services and conveniently perform other transactions online such as sending funds to their relatives in the Philippines and digital payment of their bills.  OFs can fully open the GoBayani account with no initial deposit and maintaining balance via their smartphones.

The meeting also discussed potential collaborations between the Philippine Embassy in Seoul and Landbank to promote financial literacy among OFs and investment opportunities to help the latter grow their savings.

During his three-week stay in Seoul, Mr. Bautista plans to join consular outreach programs in other parts of the ROK and attend embassy and Filipino Community events to promote financial literacy and explain Landbank’s newest financial products that encourage OFs to grow their savings and encourage them to make investments in the Philippines. -END
