PHILIPPINE EMBASSY CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH SERVICE IN JEJU, REPUBLIC OF KOREA


30 August 2025, Jeju. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul conducted a two-day consular outreach mission in Jeju-si, Jeju-do from 30 to 31 August 2025, led by Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza. The consular team provided a total of 54 consular and Assistance-to-Nationals services to members of the Filipino community, including e-passport applications, notarials, civil registration, and Embassy ID, among others. 

Representatives from Pag-IBIG, DMW-SEOUL, and OWWA also joined the outreach and rendered a combined 110 services. END

30 September 2025, Seoul – Philippine Embassy Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 Korea-ASEAN Intellectual Property Cooperation Conference under the theme “AI x IP = New Growth Engines,” held on 25 September 2025 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The conference was organized by the Federation of Intellectual Property Societies (FIPS) and hosted by the ROK Presidential Council on Intellectual Property (PICP).

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND MWO-OWWA HOSTS 3RD “KUMUSTAHAN WITH EPS CAREGIVERS” AND MEET & GREET WITH THE AMBASSADOR

28 September 2025, Seoul – On September 28, 2025, the Migrant Workers Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (MWO-OWWA), led by Ambassador-designate Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, conducted the 3rd "Kumustahan with EPS Caregivers" and Meet and Greet with the New Ambassador. The Ambassador-designate welcomed the caregivers and expressed her gratitude for their hard work and dedication. Ambassador-designate Fernandez highlighted the success of the pilot project and cited the satisfaction of both employers and caregivers with the services provided by Filipino workers. She also acknowledged the initial challenges faced by caregivers but noted that these issues were promptly addressed through collaboration between the Philippine government and the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL).
