PHILIPPINE EMBASSY JOINS FILIPINO COMMUNITY AT “INCARNATION: WORD MADE FLESH” ART EXHIBITION

Also present at the event are members of the Filipino lay and religious communities from Seoul, Incheon and Cheonan.

Seoul, 29 August 2026 - The Philippine Embassy joined members of the Filipino community in Seoul in supporting Reverend Father Jason Antiquera, OSA, at the opening of his art exhibition entitled "Incarnation: Word Made Flesh" at the art gallery of Cafe San Damiano of the Franciscan Education Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Through a collection of acrylic paintings on canvas, Father Jason reflected on significant moments in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During the accompanying lecture, he shared the psycho-spiritual inspiration behind his works and invited the audience to reflect on the mystery of the incarnation and the humanity and divinity of Christ.  

Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez congratulated Father Jason on the exhibition, and expressed appreciation for his continuing ministry and support to migrant communities in the Republic of Korea, particularly the Filipino diaspora. The Ambassador likewise thanked members of the Filipino lay and religious communities from Seoul, Incheon, and Cheonan who gathered for the exhibition and lecture, making the occasion a meaningful celebration of faith, art, and community. [Above photo] Ambassador Fernandez expressed appreciation to Father Jason for his valuable contribution and support to the migrant community in Korea, especially to the Filipino diaspora.
