PHILIPPINE EMBASSY WELCOMES ARRIVAL OF NEW LABOR ATTACHÉ IN SOUTH KOREA

26 August 2025, Seoul – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul welcomed its new Labor Attaché, Atty. Rosemarie G. Duquez, on 24 August 2025. As part of her introductory visit, Atty. Duquez called on Chargé d’Affaires ai Edwin Mendoza and engaged with key officials of the Embassy.
The Philippine Embassy in Seoul welcomed its new Labor Attaché, Atty. Rosemarie G. Duquez at the Philippine Embassy during her courtesy call last 24 August 2025. She succeeded Labor Attaché Ma. Celeste M. Valderrama who ended her tour of duty in Korea in 2024. Labor Attaché Rose previously served as the Director of the Department of Migrant Workers' Pre-Employment and Government Placement Bureau which specifically handles the EPS and caregiving programs in Korea.
With her extensive background in overseas employment and labor policy, Atty. Duquez brings a wealth of experience to her new role. The Philippine Embassy and the Migrant Workers Office–OWWA Korea reaffirm their steadfast commitment to upholding the rights and promoting the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), in alignment with the Philippine Government’s One-Country-Team approach and in support of the Filipino migrant worker community across the Republic of Korea.
