The delegation, which included approximately 13 elementary school students, Ms. Su-hyeon Kim, Local Education Division Supervisor of the Gyeonggi-do Anyang Gwacheon, Office of Education, and 3 representatives from HelloWorldKorea, was warmly welcomed by Her Excellency Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea.

In her welcome message, Ambassador Fernandez expressed her delight at hosting the young students and emphasized the vital role that youth and educational exchanges play in strengthening the historic bonds of friendship between the Philippines and South Korea.

Following the Ambassador’s welcome, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza delivered an engaging lecture to the students. Through a comprehensive and interactive presentation, DHM Mendoza introduced the young audience to the rich history, language, cuisine, geography, and diverse traditions of the Philippines. He also provided a clear, age-appropriate look into the daily operations of the embassy and the important work Filipino diplomats do to foster bilateral cooperation between countries.

The Embassy visit concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer session where students eagerly asked about diplomatic life and the Philippines history and culture, fostering genuine intercultural understanding and global awareness.

The Philippine Embassy values educational community outreach programs and was a pleasure to host the young learners and organizers of the Anyang – Gwacheon World Makers Shared School Program.
