The Korea Airports Corporation (KAC), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Philippines in Seoul, launched a program entitled Multicultural Family Support Project for Visiting Homeland, at a ceremony held at the Gimpo International Airport, on 15 December 2010.

The project aims to bring Filipino-Korean multicultural families back to the Philippines for a 10 day visit. Twenty-two families, who haven’t had opportunity to visit the Philippines for years due to economic difficulties, were selected for this year’s program. Three round-trip tickets (Incheon-Manila-Incheon) and travel allowance of US$500 were given to each selected family. During the send-off ceremony, a Cooperation Agreement was also signed by Ambassador Luis T. Cruz and Mr. Si-Chul Sung, CEO and President of KAC, to ensure mutual cooperation to conduct the project on a regular basis.
