SOUTHEAST ASIAN STUDENT LEADERS VISIT PHL EMBASSY FOR COURTESY CALL AND DIALOGUE


25 May 2025, Seoul. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, represented by the Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza, welcomed members of the Southeast Asian Society of the Korea University, led by President and Filipino student scholar Ana Roa, for a courtesy visit and dialogue held on 25 May 2025 at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room of the Embassy.

The meeting served as a platform for the students to gain insights into the Embassy’s diplomatic work, the life and responsibilities of Foreign Service Officers, and the evolving relations between the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, and the broader ASEAN region. Discussions also touched on the importance of strengthening ASEAN identity and enhancing cooperation among youth, students, and academic institutions. Also present in the meeting was Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jill De Dumo-Cornista.

The Embassy encouraged continued linkages and active information-sharing with young Southeast Asians studying in Korea, and reaffirmed its commitment to engaging with student communities and youth networks as part of its public diplomacy initiatives aimed at fostering regional understanding, leadership, and people-to-people ties. PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH BAN KI-MOON FOUNDATION

Seoul, 25 July 2025 - The Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future, met with Philippine Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega to recount four fruitful years of cooperation with the foundation and other organizations affiliated with President and Chairman Ban Ki Moon. PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR BIDS FAREWELL TO ROK MPVA, CELEBRATES STRENGTHENED PH-ROK PARTNERSHIP ON VETERANS AFFAIRS

21 July 2025, SEOUL — Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Theresa Dizon-De Vega bid farewell to Vice Minister Kang Yunjin of the ROK Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (MPVA) on 21 July 2025 at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul. During the meeting, Ambassador Dizon-De Vega and Vice Minister Kang warmly reflected on four years of robust and meaningful cooperation in the field of veterans affairs between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. Both sides acknowledged the strong partnership that led to enhanced programs honoring Filipino veterans of the Korean War. Milestones such as high-level exchanges and the successful 2023 Ministerial Summit on Veterans Affairs marking the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice, have further strengthened bilateral cooperation and underscored both countries’ shared commitment to honoring veterans and supporting their descendants.
