PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH BAN KI-MOON FOUNDATION
Seoul, 25 July 2025 - The Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future, met with Philippine Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega to recount four fruitful years of cooperation with the foundation and other organizations affiliated with President and Chairman Ban Ki Moon. Ambassador Dizon-De Vega assured the foundation of the Philippines’ continued support for its activities, including initiatives that may be hosted in the Philippines. Philippine Embassy in Seoul Participates in APEC Smart Mobility Forum 2025
Seoul, Republic of Korea – The Philippines, led by Undersecretary Ramon Reyes of the Department of Transportation (DOTR), participated in the APEC Smart Mobility Forum 2025, held on 4-5 August in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The forum, organized by South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT), gathered over 250 participants, including government representatives, industry leaders, and experts from across the Asia-Pacific region, to discuss strategies for advancing smart mobility and fostering sustainable transportation solutions. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Edwin Gil Mendoza along with the Political and Economic Section of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul also formed part of the Philippine delegation to the forum.

Marcos Jr. held his first telephone conversation with President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea (ROK) on 14 August 2025, reaffirming the robust and enduring Strategic Partnership between the Philippines and the ROK. President Marcos also conveyed his warm congratulations to President Lee, who assumed office on 4 June 2025, and expressed full support for his administration.
