PH SPORTS OFFICIALS BRIEFED ON 2014 INCHEON ASIAN GAMES PREP

SEOUL, 26 June 2014 – A Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) delegation, led by PSC Chairman Ricardo R. Garcia, briefed the Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez at the Embassy on Thursday, 26 June 2014 of the results of their visit on the invitation of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee.

Chairman Garcia was accompanied by Mr. Julian Camacho, PSC Deputy Chef De Mission, and Philippine National Olympic Committee Headquarters’ Secretariat members composed of Mr. Norberto Dinglasan and Presciosa Evangelista, Luisa Ner and Eleanor De La Peńa. Assisted by Attaché Uldarico C. Malicse, Jr., the PSC delegation attended meetings after its arrival in the country on 24 June 2014 in connection with the preparations for the forthcoming 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, which will be held on 19 September 2014 until 04 October 2014. Chairman Garcia informed the Ambassador about the administrative preparations and requirements of Team Philippines, as well as their visits to the athlete’s village, sports venues, and the main stadium. He also requested the Embassy’s assistance in disseminating information regarding the Team Philippines’ participation to the Games so that Filipinos living in Korea would come to support the 160 Filipino athletes. Ambassador Hernandez conveyed his full support and cooperation to PSC’s request.

PH, ROK REAFFIRM COMMITMENT TO CONSULAR COOPERATION AND PROTECTION OF NATIONALS

9 January 2026, Seoul. Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, met with Director General for Consular Affairs Yoon Chuseok of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea to reaffirm the shared commitment of the Philippines and the ROK to the safety and welfare of their nationals.
