PHILIPPINES PARTICIPATES IN ASEAN TRADE FAIR 2025

05 January 2026, Seoul. The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) successfully organized the ASEAN Trade Fair 2025 from 13 to 16 November 2025 at KINTEX, Ilsan, Goyang City, Republic of Korea. Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez joined AKC Secretary General Kim Jae-Shin and Ambassadors and representatives of other ASEAN countries at the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Trade Fair 2025 on 14 November 2025. Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza and PTIC-Seoul Commercial Attaché Charmaine Mignon Yalong, accompanied Amb. Fernandez during the event.

Held annually since 2014, the fair aims to support the development of ASEAN Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), enhance their market access to the Republic of Korea and bolster enterprise capabilities. The fair highlighted the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector, acknowledging its importance and the vital role that the food industry plays in both the social and economic development of the ASEAN region. 

Around 80 F&B companies showcasing diverse products from across the ASEAN region participated in the fair through F&B product exhibition, 1:1 business meetings, ASEAN Market and country pavilion. The four-day event attracted approximately 1,500 visitors, facilitated a total of 387 on-site business meetings and culminated in the signing of 25 MOUs between Korean and ASEAN companies.

Ten (10) companies from the Philippines participated in the ASEAN Trade Fair 2025, namely, Amley Food Corporation, Destileria Limtuaco, Fruits of Life, Inc., Jamla Corporation, JPC Golden Alliance Trading Inc., La Carlota Food Enterprise, Pearlfoods International, Project Beans Trading, RPO Fine Foods Corporation and See's International Food Mfg. Corp. These companies recorded a high number of business meetings and contributed to MOUs signed during the fair, demonstrating strong interest from Korean buyers in Philippine products. Participation in the ASEAN Market and country pavilion enhanced the visibility of Philippine brands while promoting culture and tourism to Korean consumers. END

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY WELCOMES LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS TO SEOUL

Seoul, 16 July 2026. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul led by Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez received the courtesy visit of a 60-member delegation composed of LGU officials including chief executives, local legislators and department heads from Quezon City, Legazpi City, Masbate, Occidental Mindoro, Siquijor, Tarlac, Surigao Del Norte and Zamboanga Del Norte at the Sentro Rizal Hall of the Philippine Embassy.
