251 EPS WORKERS ENTER SOUTH KOREA
17 December 2021, Seoul. The Philippine Embassy in Korea welcomed the arrival of 42 Filipino workers under the Employment Permit System (EPS) today, which brings to 251 the total number of workers who arrived in South Korea this December following the resumption of entry of EPS workers late last month. Of this, 200 are regular EPS workers while 51 are Sincere (or special re-entry) workers.

09 December 2021, Seoul - The Philippines was the featured country during the Segye ASEAN Forum 2021 held last December 9, 2021, at the Dragon Hotel in Seoul, Korea. Hosted by Segye Ilbo, one of the major media groups in Korea, the event this year focused on the economic cooperation in the manufacturing sector between Korea and the Philippines through the PH-KR FTA which is expected to be effective by the first half of 2022.

PH Embassy sends off 539,430 vaccine doses from the ROK government
H.E. Ambassador Maria Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega was pleased to send off 539,430 vaccine doses of Vaxzevria (formerly known as the AstraZeneca vaccine) to the Philippines on 29 November 2021. Ambassador Dizon-De Vega signed the donation agreement on behalf of the Philippines to facilitate the vaccine delivery.

17 November 2021, Seoul - The Philippines was one of the four countries featured by the Korean Importers Association (KOIMA) in their recent CEO seminar held in Yeosu, Korea last November 16, 2021. The 1st Joint Fisheries Committee Meeting between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Republic of the Philippines (PH) was held online last October 01, 2021. Undersecretary for Agro-Industrialization and for Fisheries Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero and ROK Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) Director General Dong-Sik Woo of the MOF's International Cooperation Bureau co-chaired the meeting. The Philippine delegation was composed of officials from the Department of Agriculture (DA) Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), National Fisheries and Research Development Institute (NFDRI) and the Philippine Embassy in Seoul.
