26 February 2026, Seoul, Republic of Korea — Executives from Cebu Pacific, Air Inc., led by Atty. Maria Cecilia Natividad, Vice President for Corporate Affairs, paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Bernadette Therese Fernandez on 25 February 2025. Mr. Hyukshin Kang, Country Manager of Cebu Pacific Korea Branch, also joined the meeting.

Cebu Pacific Air expressed appreciation to the Philippine Embassy in Seoul for their continued partnership in promoting the Philippines as a travel destination for ROK residents.  Ambassador Fernandez also expressed gratitude to the airline for supporting embassy activities and coordinating with the ATN Section in terms of assisting Filipino travelers who encounter difficulties during their trip to the ROK.

The meeting provided a brief overview of Cebu Pacific Air’s history, growth since it started operations in 1996; shift to a low-cost model in 2005 which allowed it to tap the underserved low- and middle-income market; and its plans for a sustained growth, considering its 59 percent share in the Philippine domestic aviation market, as reflected by its more than 60 destinations, 124 routes and 3,150 flights.

During their current trip to the ROK, the Cebu Pacific Air officials will engage with various stakeholders to determine how to enhance their services, further expand their market share and increase their bookings, especially during the lean months for air travel.  - END
