Ambassador Luis T. Cruz Welcomes Lea Salonga in Seoul

Ambassador Luis T. Cruz welcomed multi-awarded Filipino Broadway theater performer, actress and singer Ms. Lea Salonga in Seoul, last 15 June 2008.

Amb. Cruz had a meeting with Ms. Salonga a day before her musical concert to be held at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center. She will be performing before an SRO crowd her signature Disney movies theme songs and excerpts from her Broadway musicals Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, among others. The Musical Concert is Ms. Salonga鈥檚 first in Seoul.

During the meeting, Amb. Cruz acknowledged Ms. Salonga鈥檚 world-class talent and thanked her for continuously promoting Filipino artistry worldwide. Amb. Cruz also requested Ms. Salonga to promote the Philippines as a prime tourist destination in Asia to the Korean audiences at her musical concert.
