The Overseas Absentee Voting period for the 2013 Elections will be from 13 April - 13 May 2013. Overseas Absentee Voters will be able to vote for their preferred Senatorial and Party-list candidates. Venue for the voting will be at the 2nd floor of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul. On 13 April, voting time will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. From 14 April to 12 May 2013, voting time will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the last day, 13 May, voting will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Reinstatement of Registered Voters Not Able to Vote in 2007 and 2010 Elections
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that it will now allow Filipinos to vote even if they failed to vote in 2 consecutive elections in a precint in an Embassy where they are registered voters. As the voters were originally deactivated by the Comelec in accordance with election laws, now they can activate their registration by coming out to vote during the election period. The voters referred to are the ones who were earlier delisted for failing to beat the deadline to manifest their intent to vote in the midterm elections.

PHL receives investment grade rating from Standard & Poor’s
The Philippines today received investment grade rating from international credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s. In a statement released by the agency, the country’s sovereign long-term foreign currency rating was upgraded from “BB+†to “BBB-“ with stable outlook. This upgrade by S&P comes after the Philippine sovereign received its first investment grade rating from Fitch Ratings in March this year.
