21 October 2023, Seoul. The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) led by its Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita M. Nograles conducted the Philippine MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions) Roadshow 2023 in the Republic of Korea from 09 to 19 October 2023. The roadshow spearheaded by the Department of Tourism kicked-off with a series of tourism promotion activities in Busan on 11 October 2023, in Yeosu on 13 October 2023, in Suwon on 17 October 2023, and the culminating event in Seoul on 18 October 2023.

PHILIPPINE HASS AVOCADO NOW AVAILABLE IN KOREA
21 October 2023, Seoul. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul is pleased to announce that Philippine Hass Avocados are now available in the Republic of Korea. Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Theresa Dizon-De Vega welcomed the arrival of the Philippine hass avocados as a symbol of the strong trade relationship between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea in agricultural exports during its launch on 19 October 2023 at the Homeplus, Gangseo branch. Homeplus is one of the largest retail hypermart chain stores in South Korea, with around 140 branches all over the country. The event was organized by DOLE Korea, led by its CEO Mr. Jack Kim, in cooperation with Agriculture Attache Maria Alilia Maghirang of the Philippine Agriculture Office in Seoul.

Jilliane Joyce Cornista, Assistance-to-Nationals, and Legal Officer, participated in the International Seminar on Prevention of Violence against Migrant Women organized by the Women's Human Rights Institute of Korea on 7 September 2023. Other invited participants include agency heads of the Women's Rights Plus of Korea and Women Migrants Human Rights Center of Korea, as well as representatives from partner organizations helping migrants like Asia Chang, and Danuri Seoul.
